Answer: Open Adorable You!, In
Help menu, choose, About Adorable You! This screen will have the version information.
Question: How do I get the Properties Menu up?
Answer: Choose a Frame, Shape, Banner or text, click directly on it. The Properties window will show on the right hand side. Or Choose from the View menu, Properties.
Question: How do I change the default text "Adorable!"?
Answer: Click on the text "Adorable!", in the Properties box, in the Text: window, highlight the word Adorable!, re-type your new text, click Set Text
Question: How do I get my digital photo to fit in the frame?
Answer: Click on the frame to make the frame and photo active, click, hold and drag the green corner boxes surrounding the photo. Drag it until it fits the box. Hold the shift key while dragging the photo to constrain the photo.
Question: How do I change the color of the frame?
Answer: Click on the frame or shape to make it active, in the Properties box, choose Frame... from the Colors menu, a thread window will pop up. Choose the color you want by typing in the name or number, press go. Or simply choose a color by using the arrows or scroll bar, click on the color and click OK. Use the Thread Pallette: to choose the thread type, for example RA Poly, Coats, Sulky etc.
Question: How do I save my design
Answer: There are two option when saving. If you want to save your design so you can open it and work with again, Go to the File menu, choose Save working file, in the pop up menu, choose the destination to save the file, then name the file. This will save your design with an .AY extension. This creates an Adorable You file, so you can open it, change the size, color, photo etc.
To save your design so it is ready to sew out. Go to File choose, Save embroidery, choose destination to save it, give it a name, using the drop drop menu choose the file type your sewing machine uses, example, .pes, click save.
Question: I brought a digital photo into a shape, now how do I get it to print?
Answer: Adorable You! crops your digital photo to the exact size of the frame or shape you imported it into. Choose Print by either clicking on the printer icon or from the File menu choose Print, a Print Options box will pop up. Choose the option, either Printable Fabric or Transfer Paper, Transfer Paper will mirror your applique, so it will be the right way round when you iron it on. Click Print.
